Carnival in Malta through Hammamet (Tunisia): remarkable success

More than 10,000 festival goers participated Saturday afternoon in the resort of Yasmine Hammamet International Carnival of Malta.

Music bands and folk dance and cheerleaders took to the streets of the famous tourist village.

More than 620 artists and 200 Maltese musicians animation groups Montazah Chatt Ezzouhour Menzel Temim (Tunisia) were present.

A great show was held Marina Square where intermingled colors, rhythms and sounds in a mix of Mediterranean cultures. The carnival was also an announcement of the coming of spring and a new tourist season.

Present at the celebrations the tourism minister Amel Karboul and Ambassador of Malta to Tunis.
